Variable Credit

Posted by Joyce on April 22, 2009

When you register yourself for a course that carries variable credit, double- and triple-check your registration. Why? Because the default hours you get when you sign up for a course is 1.0, and unless that’s what you want, you need to click on that “1.0” and change the hours to 3.0 or 6.0 or 9.0 or whatever we have discussed.

I would fix this in permits except for 2 very important details. First, the permits area of Banner doesn’t have any place for me to indicate the number of hours. All I can do is give you permits with a CRN. Second, none of the variable credit courses in TCR (i.e. 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000) are supposed to require permits in the first place.
